FAQ

What do you look for in a project/role?

Probably the same as a lot of people; industry sector/vertical/what the organisation does, the salary/package, work environment/culture, location, setup (onsite/hybrid/remote), what kind of boss/colleagues I'll have, how my work will bring value to the client/organisation, seating (own office vs open plan), contractual t's&c's etc. I'm not fussy as you will hopefully experience but to give justice to the question.

Do you prefer a Contract or Permanent option?

It depends on the role; I would prefer permanent in some setups and contract in others; a bit tough to say without looking at the role and understanding what it is exactly. If you may please email/whatsapp/sms notify me with the option you have; will review and reply swiftly (need to think about myself and my family). It may be a near employer becomes one with whom I stay with until retirement; I believe this will happen not too far down the road.

Are you a SME or a Generalist?

I've worn both hats and for the right role; will do the same.

Looks as if you can do a lot!

Of course the experience/skills highlighted will vary in depth, breadth and proficiency. The best tennis player in the world may be weak on the serves but very good on the forehand. By looking at the job details; I can mention if its a project/role where I can deliver.

When I start a role/project; I focus and everything goes on the shelf. I have never had two roles at one time (e.g. a former colleague after work was a trainer at an institute). For me; its always been focus on one job/project (of course can be multiple projects e.g. in program management/some consulting setups; but that's still one job for me; so is the same thing) and will always remain.

It looks like you take gaps between projects...

I'm the busy kind of person, a family person, and to be honest, I can't think of a day of my life that was actually wasted ever since graduating from university. Every day has been doing something of tangible benefit (even a holiday has a benefit!). To me professionally or personally; to my family. So the gaps have always been something productive and beneficial.

Next Steps?

Please send me your active/urgent role/project need; let's discuss and work together so that I am working for you/your organisation/client ASAP!!

Appreciate very much.

What is GDS? GDS stands for Government Digital Service — a unit within the UK Cabinet Office responsible for transforming government through digital, data, and technology. It was established in 2011, following the Martha Lane Fox “Digital by Default” review (2010), which recommended that government services should be simpler, clearer, and faster to use. Mission: “To make digital government simpler, clearer, and faster for everyone.” 2. Why GDS Was Created? Before GDS: Each department had its own website, design, and process. Citizens had to navigate multiple confusing portals. There was inconsistent quality and high IT costs. Many systems were run by large, long-term suppliers — the “Big IT” era — c...
